Eight passengers died after a non-public bus carrying round 35 individuals fell into the Sirhind feeder canal in Muktsar district on Tuesday, officers mentioned.
The incident befell close to Jhabelwali village on the Muktsar-Kotkapura street after the bus skidded off the street when brakes have been utilized, they mentioned, including it was raining on the time of the incident.
A staff from the Nationwide Catastrophe Response Power (NDRF) has been referred to as for the rescue operation. The bus was going from Muktsar to Kotkapura.
