PATNA: Performing on a tip-off, the directorate of medication management on Friday seized unlicensed medicines value Rs1.20 crore from a shop-cum-godown in Narayan market on Govind Mitra Highway, the hub of drug commerce, within the state capital.
A seven-member staff, led by Dr Sachchidanand Vikrant, assistant director, directorate of medication management administration, raided the store and seized medication of varied manufacturers illegally saved on the market.
“It’s unlawful to commerce such medicines with out acquiring license from the federal government. All such medicines, together with some frequent ones like paracetamol and cough syrups, had been seized immediately,” mentioned Vikrant. The main points of seizure could be produced earlier than a courtroom for additional authorized motion, he mentioned.
