Bhagalpur: Appearing on a tip-off, Bhagalpur police, CID and excise division seized round 200 bottles of Indian-Made Overseas Liquor (IMFL) and a number of other cartons of beer from the the guard’s quarters throughout a joint raid on the premises of the official residence of the superintending engineer of Public Well being Engineering Division in Khanjarpur underneath Jogsar police station right here on Wednesday.
Guard Amrendra Kumar Paswan and his assistant Santosh Yadav, alias Chotu, have been arrested. Superintending engineer Vijay Kumar instructed the police that he was unaware of the actions of the guard. “Police and excise division would take appropriate motion towards the offender,” he stated.
Police stated IMFL smugglers are energetic within the area.
