Based on the Samastipur DRM Vinay Srivastava, railways is more likely to incur an expenditure of about Rs 1,004.9 crore on the redevelopment of those stations.
“The division will float tender and award the work contract to the shortlisted businesses on the earliest. Although the deadline mounted by the Railway Board is July 2024, the division will attempt to full the work earlier than time,” he stated. The railways has shortlisted Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Bapudham Motihari, Saharsa, Narkatiaganj, Samastipur, Sugauli, Salona, Banmankhi, Madhubani, Sakri and Jaynagar for the redevelopment.
“Railways intends to offer amenities like foot overbridge, signage, improvement of circulating space, excessive mast mild, digital clock, platform sheds, renovation of station constructing, concourse space, elevating top of platform, second exit level, raise and escalators at these stations to cater to the wants of passengers,” the DRM stated.
