A 19-year-old school scholar was arrested in Ballia on Sunday for allegedly raping a 13-year-old lady, police mentioned.
SHO of native Nagra police station Atul Mishra mentioned a case was registered towards Ashish Chauhan, a BA second-year scholar, on Wednesday primarily based on a grievance lodged by the minor’s mom.
Police mentioned the complainant alleged that Chauhan used to sexually harass her daughter.
Mr Mishra mentioned when the minor lady’s assertion was recorded in entrance of a Justice of the Peace, she accused Chauhan of raping her.
Primarily based on the assertion, the cost of rape was added and the accused was arrested following a tip-off, police mentioned.
